JD 1: Senior Data Engineer position here is the skills summary (the AWS data stack is must have)

  1. Sound understanding of Data modelling concepts
  2. Strong knowledge of SQL
  3. AWS Data Stack: S3,RDS, Redshift, Iceberg and Glue (proficient)
  4. Programming languages: Python/Spark (working knowledge)
  5. Data warehousing / ETL : Glue, EMR or Abinitio (working knowledge)
  6. Visualization : PowerBI, Tableau or QuickSight (familiarity)
  7. CI/CD tools : GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory or Octopus
  8. Experience in test automation and using test management tools like JIRA

JD 2: Staff Data Engineer position here is the skills summary (the AWS data stack is must have)

  1. Strong Data Architecture expertise including different data modelling techniques and design patterns
  2. Strong knowledge of data governance such as data lineage, technical metadata, data quality and reconciliation
  3. Ability to drive platform efficiency through automation and AI capabilities
  4. AWS Data Stack: EMR, Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3, Lambda, ECS
  5. Data Orchestration & Pipelines: Airflow, Dataform
  6. Data Formats & Modelling: Iceberg, JSON, XML, CSV, Data Modelling
  7. Programming & DevOps: Python, SQL, Git, GitHub Actions, Team City, Jenkins, Octopus, Unix shell scripting
  8. ETL & Ingestion: File ingress/egress solutions in AWS
  9. Security and Observability: DevSecOps, Artifactory, Observability tooling
  10. Testing & Automation: test automation frameworks, Jupyter Notebooks
  11. Familiarity with data warehousing and build experience in Teradata, Oracle
  12. Experience in visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau
  13. Familiarity and experience with Agile processes.
