Global Road Maintenance Systems (GRMS) Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and operated civil contracting company. Specialising in the installation of formulated resin, specialist surfacing requirements for highway, marine, transport and property development.
Operating for over 20 years, we have become a market leader in high-friction calcined bauxite road surfacing treatments, coloured surfacing, line marking, traffic control, bridge works, concrete works, street sweeping and cleaning and architectural surfacing.
Overview
As an Accounts/Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for all Data entries relating to Account Receivable/Payable, fortnightly Payroll input and invoicing, data entry.
The job requires you to undertake processing tasks in relation to accounts payable, accounts receivable and other accounting processes, prepare reports, reconciliations and correspondence to Clients & Suppliers.
You have organisational responsibility while reporting to a General Manager and will already be a proven performer at a senior level.
Hours of work will normal Business Hours Monday - Friday
Global Road Maintenance Systems requires all Office Personnel to present for duty in a fit and in proper state, and to lead by example for all employees to adhere to.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years in same or in a similar role
· Current Qld Open Drivers Licence
Core Responsibilities:
Management of Resources: Payroll
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
- Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee award income and workers compensation payments.
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Management of Resources: Accounts
- Input a high volume of financial transactions into the financial management system
- Ensure data is entered accurately within set timeframes in accordance with internal procedures and processes
- Carry out accounts payable functions including purchase order creation
- Invoice entry, refunds processing & payment runs
- Carry out accounts receivable functions including uploading daily receipt files into MYOB, tax invoice/receipt
· Understanding the company's financial performance.
· Knowing the products & services.
· Evaluate Client Credit Application.
· Matching purchase orders to Invoices
· Bank & Credit Card reconciliations
· HR duties as required by GM
· General Office filing / reconciliation
· Assistance where required within office (helping with engineering, GM and Director)
Direct & Track Divisions Performance:
· Attend meetings, at least monthly, with the General Manager & Accountant.

· Global Road Maintenance Systems staff are required to use hand protection (Gloves) when handling signs and other Line Marking/Colour Installation Equipment

Global Road Maintenance Systems is serious about the Environment. All employees must take due care in their worksites to ensure we leave no FOOTPRINT on the Environment. All our waste must be bought back to depot for appropriate disposal. Any spillage must be contained as per MSDS's supplied.
