About Us
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The purpose of the Marketing and Communications team is to support community awareness of and engagement with IUIH and our network partner services and strengthen community health literacy and agency to improve health outcomes of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

About the role
Marketing and Communications Officers are key members of our team, contributing to content creation and the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing and communication activity in line with IUIH objectives. Some of the great work you'll do:

  • Contribute to and help coordinate the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing activities and events for different services and initiatives across a range of audiences.
  • Create high quality content across a range of communication channels including printed material, multimedia content, internal communications, and websites.
  • Collaborate with clients and within the team (including across design and production teams) to ensure brand consistency and effective messaging across all marketing and communications activity.
  • Contribute to and monitor exceptionally engaging social media channels.


About you

  • Experience in marketing and communications
  • Relevant TAFE or university learning and qualification, or close to graduating
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
  • Current Criminal History Check
  • Current QLD Blue Card – Required prior to your commencement
  • Desire to grow your understanding of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health services and the issues facing these organisations
  • Willing to travel and support some out of hours events and activities

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.
