The Company
The Lombardi Group operates from two locations: Bayswater, where Roadwest Transport is based, and the G&A Lombardi Dealership situated in Forrestfield, Western Australia. We are a well-established leader in the truck trailer manufacturing and sales industry, known across Australia for our extensive selection of high-quality and dependable equipment.
The Role
We are currently seeking a full-time HSE Officer. Your time will be spent at both business units, 3 days per week based at Roadwest Transport Bayswater and 2 days per week based at G&A Lombardi Forrestfield.
You will ensure the following:
- Works are being performed in compliance with HSE & legislative requirements.
- Safe systems of work are established to manage HSE risk exposure for all activities.
- Effectively support the management team to deliver quality, on time, on budget whilst meeting the HSE deliverables and targets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Promote & monitor compliance with RWT policies, standards, procedures, legislation, & HSE Plans.
- Provide recommendations for HSE improvements & provide technical advice on relevant HSE matters.
- Coach and mentor personnel on Lombardi Group risk management processes & tools.
- Conduct scheduled systems / processes & critical risk audits, inspections and safe work observations.
- Lead the reporting, investigation of HSE incidents and communicate the corrective actions & lessons learned.
- Facilitate the timely recording, tracking & reporting of HSE hazards, issues, concerns, & corrective actions.
- Communicate & consult with workplace personnel HSE matters.
- Assist with onboarding and Co-Ordination of VISA Workers at the workplace.
- Compile HSE performance and statistical reports as required.
- Facilitate HSE Review (Committee) Meetings.
- Develop and communicate HSE information for prestart & tool-box meetings.
- Coordinate, maintain & facilitate training activities (i.e. inductions), and records.
- Lead the first aid / injury management & emergency preparedness function.
- Maintain current knowledge of HSE related legislation and Lombardi Group requirements.
- Injury and RTW Management.
- Medicals for new starters co-ordination.
Position Requirements
To be successful in fulling your responsibilities you will require the following:
- Certificate IV - Occupational Health and Safety (Minimum).
- Experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Reliable, friendly, motivated and helpful work ethic.
- Able to work in a team environment with the commitment to continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders within a matrix organisation.
- Previous experience with onboarding VISA workers would be highly regarded.
- Current Police clearance.
- Pass a Medical and D and A scan.
- Well-developed knowledge of OH&S legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards.
- Current first aid/CPR certification – (HLTAID003 Provide first aid).
- Previous experience with lifting operations risk management would be highly regarded.
