HSE Superintendent

Our team are seeking an experienced  HSE Superintendent to join the team. We are looking for a professional that is confident in their abilities. This will suit someone who has a genuine passion for safety and wants to play a role in helping develop a culture of HSE accountability, ownership, awareness, and leadership across projects.

Preferecne for residential in Kalgoorlie on a Monday to Friday roster with travel to sites as required. Will consider Perth based for right candiate with although with require heavy field time initially and develop regular visits in field or Kalgoorlie office as required. Alternate weeks Subiaco and Field / Kalgoorlie.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously demonstrate a personal commitment to JB Contracting's Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards to achieve a workplace free from incidents, discrimination, and harassment. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for ourselves, each other, and our business partners
• Assisting all sites in the drafting, reviewing, and implementation of hazard identification, operational risk assessments, SWP's, and HSE procedures.
• Management of the HSE database (PeopleTray/Solvinjury) to ensure each site is compliant with JB Contracting polices and statutory HSE obligations.
• Implementation of the training and education programs as established in the JB Contracting HSE strategy, including training employees in our HSE procedures and systems.
• Assisting sites in the facilitation of investigations, root causes analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Supporting sites to ensure that emergency plans, procedures and programs are established, compliant and tested through structured exercises.
• Ensuring compliance to the Western Australia Workplace Health and Safety Legislation including a working knowledge of the harmonisation legislation, Australian Standards, and Industry Codes of Practice.
• Completing of internal HSE audits in accordance with the audit schedule.
• Conducting site visits to further develop the health, safety and environmental skills and capabilities of all employees in accordance with the JB Contracting HSE strategy.
• Facilitating the JB Contracting VOC process and coordinating the updating process with assistance from the training department, to ensure compliance is always maintained.
• Ensuring that JB Contracting staff, contractors, and visitors to JB Contracting sites are aware of their WHS obligations and JB Contracting 's policies and requirements relating to WHS.
• Developing communications and relationships with client stakeholders

To be considered for this role you will have:

• A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role with experience in civil construction and earthworks ot transport (desirable) and/ or working with a contracting company preferable.
• Minimum Certificate IV WHS preferable Diploma WHS.
• ICAM Investigation Trained (preferred)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or contribute to assessment units (desirable)
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
