APS6 Level Clinician - Client Assist Contact Centre
24/7 Hybrid Roster | National Impact
Location: Hybrid (Work from Home & Office)
Employment Type: Full-Time, APS6
Security Clearance: Hold or ability to obtain Baseline Clearance
Work Hours: Rostered shifts across a 24/7 schedule, including weekends
Be the Voice of Support When It's Needed Most
Join a nationally respected mental health service dedicated to supporting Veteren's and their families as a Client Assist Clinician, you'll be the first point of contact, providing immediate, high-quality mental health support over the phone.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role in a 24/7 contact centre environment, where you'll use your clinical expertise to triage, assess, and refer clients to specialist services across the country-all while working in a flexible hybrid model.
What You'll Do
- Deliver trauma-informed, client-centred intake, risk assessment, brief intervention and crisis support via phone
- Refer clients to regional Open Arms teams for ongoing support and case management
- Maintain accurate client documentation using the Client Management System
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients' families and external service providers
- Attend ongoing clinical supervision and professional development
- Uphold ethical, legislative and clinical governance standards
What You Bring
- Tertiary qualifications and registration in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing
- Experience in clinical mental health settings, preferably phone-based or in high-volume environments
- Expertise in trauma-informed care, risk assessment, and crisis intervention
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence with IT systems and navigating clinical software
- Emotional resilience and ability to thrive in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Hold or obtain a Working with Vulnerable People/Children check
- Eligible for or currently hold Baseline Security Clearance
- Current AHPRA registration, AASW membership, or PACFA/ACA registration (depending on discipline)
