About the company

Davidson have partnered with a reputable consultancy to support the delivery of a critical program of work, moving infrastructure from on premises to the cloud (Azure).

Key responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end migration of on-prem workloads to Azure: discovery, assessment, planning, execution, optimisation
  • Design and implement Azure-native landing zones, networking, identity, security, and resilience patterns
  • Automate provisioning/configuration with IaC; build reusable modules, pipelines, and documentation
  • Partner with application, security, and operations teams to integrate and release reliably
  • Lead or contribute to architecture reviews, set standards, mentor engineers, and align delivery to business objectives

Skills & Experience

  • Deep Microsoft Azure expertise across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, with strong grounding in networking, security, monitoring, and governance
  • Hands-on with Azure Migrate, Site Recovery, Arc, and complementary third-party migration tooling
  • Proficient in IaC (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Experience with CI/CD and containers (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins; Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate); effective stakeholder engagement and communication; Agile/DevOps delivery
  • Baseline / NV1/ NV2 Clearance
