Your RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in migrating on-premises infrastructure and workloads to Microsoft Azure. This role requires strong technical capabilities, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure, including discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and optimisation.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient Azure-native infrastructure solutions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Participate in architecture reviews and provide input on cloud best practices and governance.
- Support knowledge sharing and mentoring within the engineering team.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Document designs, procedures, and migration plans for internal knowledge bases and operational handover.
Required Technical Skills:
- Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Migration Tools: Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Arc, and third-party tools.
- Infrastructure as Code: ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible.
- Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins; containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Networking: VNETs, NSGs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers.
- Security & Governance: Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, RBAC, Azure Policy, compliance frameworks.
- Monitoring & Logging: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Sentinel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Must have NV1 or NV2 Clearance
