FinXL is seeking multiple experienced and dedicated Onsite IT Support Specialists to provide hands-on, face-to-face support for a secure and robust IT infrastructure. This long-term, onsite role requires a practical, security-minded professional focused on immediate issue resolution and maintaining uninterrupted service delivery within a sensitive operational environment.

We are recruiting for multiple positions at the following sites:
  • Townsville, QLD
  • Holsworthy, NSW
  • Robertson Barracks, NT
  • Oakey, QLD
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing direct, physical technical support and maintenance assistance across the site's core infrastructure:

  • Hardware & Desktop Support: Providing immediate support for computer hardware (desktops, peripherals, servers) and troubleshooting various operating software platforms directly with end-users.
  • Core Service Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to essential services, including internet, file, print, electronic mail, and scheduling services on the ground.
  • Network & Connectivity: Assisting with physical checks, patch management, and local troubleshooting for wide area networks (WANs) and local area networks (LANs) connectivity issues.
  • Access & Security: Physically verifying and supporting the administration of user access to specified Applications and database Software within strict security protocols.
  • Maintenance & Recovery: Performing routine onsite checks, assisting with data backup and recovery services, and supporting network and systems management tool functionality.
Desirable
  • Defence Sector Experience is Highly Desirable: Prior, hands-on experience working within the Australian Defence environment or similar highly regulated government/security environments will be a significant advantage.
