*The Client* JK are partnering with a specialist heavy‑vehicle electrical and fabrication workshop in Rocklea, QLD. This client specialises in refurbishments, repairs and fit‑outs for commercial operators across South‑East Queensland and is known for their reliable turnaround and quality workmanship.

Beyond accessories, our client also provides electrical, body, and customisation services for trucks. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at a pivotal moment and play a key role in shaping the future of their workshop.

The Role We are seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join our Darra workshop. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of the in-house paint booth operations, performing detailed and custom spray work on trucks and parts. For the right candidate, we are open to investing in a larger paint booth, giving you the tools and environment to excel.

You'll prepare and refinish heavy‑vehicle components using 2‑pack (two‑pack) systems, delivering durable, high‑quality finishes. Day‑to‑day you'll handle prep and masking, mix and apply primers/basecoats/clearcoats, and complete finishing to spec in a fast, safety‑first workshop.

Duties

  • Prepare, mask, and spray trucks and components using spray gun and 2Pac systems
  • Deliver high-quality, detailed finishes on both industrial and custom projects
  • Manage paint stock, ordering, and booth maintenance
  • Uphold high safety and cleanliness standards within the paint booth
  • Collaborate with workshop teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines

Skills & Experience;

  • Previous spray painting experience (industrial and/or automotive)
  • Skilled in using spray guns and 2Pac paint systems
  • Strong eye for detail with proven ability to achieve quality finishes
  • Experience with customised paintwork and modifications highly regarded
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
