Are you an early riser with a passion for customer service? Our local newspaper and gift shop is looking for a dedicated junior staff member to join our team on a casual basis.

Hours: 10-15 hours per week, with potential for more for the right candidate

About Us: We are a friendly and vibrant newspaper, gift, and lottery shop located southside of Rockhampton. We are dedicated to provide excellent service to our customers. We are looking for a motivated junior staff member to join our team on a casual basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with opening the shop during early morning weekend shifts
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Handle cash register and transactions
  • Stock shelves and maintain store cleanliness
  • Perform lottery sales with high accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Available for early morning weekend starts
  • Available for 1-2 afternoon shifts on weekdays
  • Prior retail experience is a plus
  • but not required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
