Our client, We specialise in strata-focused building diagnostics and expert reporting. We work across Class 2 Buildings (residential and mixed-use) and commercial buildings, providing forensic inspections, scopes of work/specifications, tender services, defects reports, expert witness reports and contract administration for remedial projects.

We're a calm, professional, no-nonsense team. Our consultants are trusted to manage their own portfolios, with strong internal admin support so they can focus on delivering technical excellence - not chasing paperwork.

What You'll Love About This Role

  • You'll own your projects. From inspection to report recommendations, you manage your own consultancies.
  • You won't get pigeonholed. You'll handle a wide variety of building issues - from small internal water ingress jobs to large-scale building defects and remediation.

  • You'll have flexibility. You manage your day to day calendar, to maximise your efficiency, whilst accommodating any personal obligations (within reason) that may occur

What We're Looking For
You're a calm, confident professional who's been around the traps. Specifically, you'll need:

  • 5+ years experience in remedial diagnostics with Class 2 buildings
  • Consulting experience - including direct client-facing roles
  • Strong reporting and writing skills (you'll be asked for a sample later)
  • The ability to manage multiple consultancies at once - not just one matter per year
  • A problem solving mindset
  • Emotional intelligence and professionalism - you'll deal with clients daily
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC) relevant in building structures.
  • Tertiary qualifications in BE (Civil or Structural)
  • Experience in diagnostic consulting work, building defects identification and litigation compliant defect reporting, general building condition assessment and reporting, drafting scopes of works and specifications suitable for tendering, tender management and contract administration of remediation projects.
