About Our Role
We are seeking a motivated Contracts Manager with experience in construction contract management to support commercial and legal activities across WGA's diverse portfolio of projects. This client-facing role works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure contracts are well-structured, risks are managed, and obligations are met. The role is focused on precontracts work, and you will support precontracts and delivery teams through the full contract lifecycle—from pre-award activities and negotiations to ongoing contract performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake contract reviews against internal company policy and support or lead client negotiations to achieve balanced outcomes for all parties.
  • Provide advice on commercial and contractual risks and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Support insurance claims notification and management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align contracts with WGA's market and client strategy, and client needs.

About You:

  • Around 3-5 years' experience in construction contracts management
  • Some experience dealing with professional services contracts
  • Strong understanding of contractual principles, commercial risks, and compliance requirements.
  • Formal qualifications in law, construction management or engineering.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage competing priorities.
