We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Officer (Level 4) to join our Linley Valley Pork site in Wundowie. This role plays a key part in maintaining and continuously improving quality and food safety standards across our operations.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the Approved Arrangement and AUS-MEAT programs.
• Conduct hygiene and process monitoring, including GMP checks, meat hygiene assessments, label checks, and equipment verification.
• Conduct product assessments, including temperature checks, chemical lean testing, and swabbing.
• Support internal and external audits, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA manuals, SOPs, and training.
• Investigate food safety and quality issues, manage customer complaints, and verify quality records.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior QA team members.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or equivalent.
• Industry experience in managing food safety and quality assurance.
• Certification in AUS-MEAT, HACCP, and Internal Auditing.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A thorough understanding of root cause analysis.

Desirable experience includes: knowledge of abattoir practices, knife handling skills, and a basic understanding of iLeader.
