Chef - Brisbane Airport (SSP Australia)

About the Role

SSP Australia are seeking experienced Chefs to join our team at Brisbane Airport on a casual basis.

You will be supported by a great leadership team and work collaboratively with a professional Head Chef and highly experienced culinary team. As an ideal candidate, you will be an experienced and professional team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment towards achieving outstanding results.

What are skills and experience are we looking for?

  • At least 2 years' experience as a Chef working in a similar role

  • Flexibility across a seven-day roster

  • Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery (Essential)

  • Food Handlers Certificate (Essential)

  • Hold a valid Driver's License and have access to a vehicle to commute to and from work (Essential)

  • Experience in working in large kitchen teams

  • A passion for food and an eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills

  • Knowledge in WHS Compliance and strong understanding of food safety and practices

  • Organised, responsible, and can manage a section

  • A high standard of food preparation, presentation and service

  • Excellent time management skills, strong communication skills and collaborative work mentality

  • A lively personality and positive attitude
