As Depot Hand in Caloundra you will provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers sort their recyclable products and providing them with the correct refund.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manual handling & sorting of recyclable items into their correct categories
  • Sort, count, and process returned containers or materials
  • Work collaboratively with the depot team and Depot Manager
  • Ensure customers are welcomed and assisted with their recycling products to inspire return customers
  • Daily cleaning at all areas of the depot, including front and back as required
  • Cash handling, ensuring the cash float is balanced daily
  • Operate machinery safely and report faults or maintenance issues promptly to management

About you:

  • Moderate level of fitness required. The role requires active engagement with customers and the completion of manual handling tasks
  • Forklift license would be HIGHLY desirable
  • Previous Retail, Warehouse, Hospitality, or relevant customer service experience would be highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A current driver's license
  • You have a great 'can do' attitude with customer service at the forefront of all interactions
