Senior Asset Learning and Development Officer
Location – Parramatta
Employment Type – Ongoing Fulltime
Salary – GR 9/10 $129,464.00 to $142,665.00 plus superannuation

Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.

In this critical role you will develop, manage and implement a broad range of Learning and Development programs and projects across the Directorate and/or Agency to support and improve service delivery.
What you'll do
Your varied role will be both strategic and hands on delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Manage a team responsible for identifying training and development needs, formulating programs, plans and services and delivering appropriate training and development solutions across the state to enable Housing Portfolio staff to perform their roles effectively.
Develop, plan and manage a range of projects including training programs to deliver initiatives to Housing Portfolio and, where required, lead and motivate project team members to support the achievement of project goals.
- Manage and oversee projects including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources and managing budgets, and prepare project related documents to key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers.
- Undertake research, identify and analyse options and recommend solutions to support the development of key projects and training programs across Housing Portfolio, and monitor, evaluate and analyse the performance of key projects/training program and provide advice to inform decision making.
- Prepare correspondence, briefings, reports and analysis on programs, research findings, emerging issues, risks and potential improvement opportunities / solutions.
- Set clear standards, goals and timeframes and monitor all work generated by the team to ensure it always meets the required standard and is delivered appropriately on time and in budget. Follow up issues as required to ensure compliance and to build a high-performance culture.
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and ongoing professional development
- Expertise in developing training needs analysis, lead training strategies for multiple programs, manage teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to align training initiatives with organisational goals including delivery of training, this includes Instructor lead (face to face and virtually) and oversee the development of digital training solutions
- Strong focus on reporting and monitoring training completion within the organisation
- Management experience and demonstrated ability to motivate and drive performance goals for a team of learning professionals.
- Project management skills and strong stakeholder engagement experience.
- Sound understanding of local government planning controls.
- Asset management expertise.
- Current driver's license as travel maybe required.
