VCE Accounting/Commerce/Business Management Secondary Teacher

The Role:

Tradewind is delighted to partner with a highly regarded independent grammar school in Melbourne's West to recruit a passionate Secondary Commerce/Business Management/Accounting teacher commencing Term 1, 2026.

This full-time, ongoing position will see you teaching Accounting, Business Management, and Commerce across Years 10–12, within a school recognised for its academic excellence, holistic student development, and strong traditions across two campuses.

Key Duties
:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the VCE Study Designs (Accounting, Economics, and Business Management), incorporating real-world scenarios, case studies, and multimedia tools to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Teach core subject content, including accounting principles (e.g. financial reports, accrual/cash systems, budgeting), economic theories and trends, and business management practices, while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Design, deliver, and assess coursework such as SACs, projects, class activities, and practice exams using a balance of formative and summative assessment strategies.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and tailored exam preparation support to help students achieve their academic goals.
• Collaborate with faculty colleagues, department leaders, and cross-curricular teams to align curriculum, share best practice, and contribute to a culture of academic excellence.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that encourages student engagement, cooperation, and achievement.
• Support co-curricular initiatives, including student involvement in competitions, enrichment programs, and broader school activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning to remain current with curriculum changes, subject developments, and evolving teaching methodologies.

Skills & Experience:

• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Relevant Tertiary Teaching Qualifications
• Current VIT registration
• Experience in teaching VCE Accounting, Commerce and Business management of at least 2 years in Victoria/AU
• Ability to provide contact details for at least two principal/Vice principal references from within the last 5 years
