About the Role

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our Gold Coast team. We provide in-home support services that empower people with disability to live independently and enjoy a fulfilling life.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred care that promotes independence, community inclusion, and personal choice. You'll work closely with clients, families, and our care team to support individual needs and goals.

Shifts available: Gold Coast region, with an average of 6–15 hours per week. Services are generally between 6am–6pm Monday to Friday, with passive sleepover shifts available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Support overnight needs during passive sleepover shifts.
  • Assist with mobility, manual handling, and exercise routines.
  • Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies, including restrictive practices when required.
  • Document care provided and follow individual service plans.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to support client goals.

What You'll Need

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability).
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Orientation Module Certificate.
  • Police Clearance.
  • Open Australian Driver's Licence with comprehensive Insurance
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • Smartphone with internet access.
