Do you have the expertise and drive to lead projects that make cities greener and cleaner? Join us as a Project Manager – Zero Emission Transition in our Transit Systems Group
As a Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind our innovative and sustainable construction projects, ranging in value up to $50 million. Reporting to the National Infrastructure Manager, you will oversee every aspect of these complex undertakings—leading teams, managing processes, and balancing budgets to ensure each project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. If you are passionate about innovation, sustainability, and project leadership, this role is for you
Why You'll Love This Role:
- Be the Go-To Leader for Zero Emission Bus and Depot Electrification projects, managing people, processes, and budgets to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
- Lead projects that contribute to a greener planet by reducing urban emissions and advancing sustainable transport.
- Work with passionate, skilled professionals and a diverse range of stakeholders who are all dedicated to making a difference.
- Develop your project management and electrical engineering expertise in a role that's driving forward-thinking initiatives.
- This role is perfect for an experienced Project Manager or for a technically advanced Senior Project Engineer looking to advance into a management role.
What You'll Do:
- Manage Projects End-to-End: Oversee the development, management, and commissioning of zero emission projects, adjusting plans based on progress and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with internal and external partners, from management and supervisors to clients and suppliers, to define clear project scopes and deliverables that meet contractual requirements.
- Drive Strategic Success: Work alongside the National ZEB Infrastructure Manager to deliver departmental goals, negotiate project contracts, and protect the company's interests.
- Ensure Smooth Communication: Keep all stakeholders informed with comprehensive project plans and reports, and represent the company at project meetings.
- Risk Management Expertise: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth delivery.
- Safety: Implement strict protocols and regularly monitor procedures to ensure that safety is consistently maintained in all operations
What We're Looking For:
- A tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering (highly desirable) and/or Project Management.
- Background in electrical engineering with exposure to working with electrical distributors, retailers, and ASPs. Experience in managing project transitions, particularly with zero-emission initiatives, is ideal.
- Familiarity with the electrical distributor, retailer, and ASP industry, plus contract and financial management expertise.
- Proven time management and multitasking skills for handling multiple projects.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
- Detail-oriented, professional, and proficient in MS Office, including MS Project.
