Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Data Analyst
to support data-driven strategy and operational improvement across the organisation. This role involves collecting, cleaning, analysing, and visualising data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders and help optimise business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and structure data from multiple sources
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis
- Develop and maintain dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
- Identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Prepare reports and visual presentations to support business decisions
- Conduct market and performance analysis using statistical methods
- Assist with forecasting and predictive modelling
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with Australian standards
- Support cross-functional teams with data insights
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Basic knowledge of Python or R is an advantage
- Understanding of data visualisation principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to manage time and work across multiple tasks
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within Australia's business environment
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio
- Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations
- Exposure to ETL or data pipeline processes
- Understanding of statistical modelling or machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with APIs or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
