We're looking for a strategic and hands-on SOX Implementation Lead to join our Financial Control team and play a key role in delivering Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance across MUFG MPMS. This is a high-impact role where you'll lead the design and rollout of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), working closely with global stakeholders and senior leadership.
You'll thrive in our fast-paced, evolving environment and be a driving force for change, improvement, and collaboration across the business.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of SOX compliance across the Group, including documentation, testing, and certification processes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to identify control gaps and implement remediation plans
- Provide training and guidance to process owners and control performers, fostering a strong compliance culture
- Manage and support APAC finance teams, building a high-performing and motivated team through coaching and development
- Monitor regulatory changes and business process updates to ensure ongoing SOX compliance and risk mitigation
- Report regularly to senior leadership on SOX status, risks, and progress
What we're looking for:
- Experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or risk management (5+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of the COSO framework and internal control principles
- Exposure to ERP systems (Infor, SAP, Oracle) and GRC tools
- CA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent qualification desirable
- A strategic thinker with excellent project management and communication skills
