Shepparton Motor Body Builders are seeking a motivated and reliable Automotive Manufacturing Apprentice based in Shepparton, a proudly family-owned business with almost 50 years of innovation in the automotive and manufacturing industries.

At SMBB, we specialise in building V8 Supercar Transporters for some of the biggest names in motorsport, as well as custom industrial, mining, and armoured vehicles using the latest technology.

Daily Tasks will include

  • Assist in the fabrication of trailer components under the guidance of qualified tradesperson.
  • Assist in assembling automotive components on the production line under supervision.
  • Assist in the fitout and final assembly of custom trailers.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Read and follow technical drawings, Manuals, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in training session to develop manufacturing knowledge and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.

No prior experience required – just the right attitude and willingness to learn

Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
