Your Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a
Outdoor Education Instructor
to join the staff of Chaverim Outdoor Education and Environment Centre . This is a term-time (38hpw) continuing position, commencing from January 2026.
The
Outdoor Education Instructor
will work under the guidance of the Outdoor Education Centre Director, ensuring the effective operation of programs at Chaverim Outdoor Education and Environment Centre. This role involves maintaining equipment management systems and facilitating a variety of outdoor activities tailored to students, visiting schools, and corporate visitors.
You will play a key role in program development, implementation, and evaluation while promoting safety, confidentiality, and respect within the educational environment.

About You
The successful applicant will have:
- An understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- The ability to work well either individually or collaboratively as part of a team, and to accept direction and support.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting.
- Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership (or equivalent)

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
