About the Business

Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Plutonic Gold Mine produces 85koz of gold annually. The Company also holds the Four Eagles Gold Project in Bendigo.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, the Company plans to bring three new mining areas at Plutonic into production.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in procurement processes, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience using Pronto ERP software. Your responsibilities will include converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders, and cross-checking line items against invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Reporting to the Admin Superintendent, you will be based onsite on a 4/3 roster (Monday to Thursday), working closely with various onsite team members to support day-to-day operations.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing purchase requisitions in line with company purchasing procedures and policies
  • Raising and investigating invoices for any discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate supplier records using Pronto ERP
  • Providing effective customer service by offering up-to-date information and advice to internal stakeholders
  • Expediting of purchase orders
  • Competitive procurement
  • Organising site logistics
  • Facilitating vendor and credit set ups for new suppliers
  • Continued cataloguing of current inventory
  • Responding to vendor invoice queries and addressing other financial questions as required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in procurement, finance, or accounts receivable
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Pronto system is essential
  • Excellent team work ability
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
