About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Senior Production Supervisors to join our mining leadership team at Blair Athol Mine. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will be responsible for driving safe, compliant, and efficient production outcomes across designated operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Production Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in leading high performance crews and delivering safe, efficient, and compliant operations. You will:

• Lead from the front: Oversee all mining activities to ensure safe, consistent execution aligned with the daily and weekly mine plans.

• Drive operational performance: Monitor and improve coal recovery, control dilution, and drive productivity while meeting coal quality targets.

• Optimise equipment effectiveness: Collaborate with the Maintenance team to ensure high availability, effective pre-start processes, and timely defect resolution.

• Promote a safety-first culture: Lead audits, conduct regular safety interactions, and support incident investigations and corrective action implementation.

• Maintain data integrity: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of production metrics, equipment utilisation, incidents, and hazards using site systems.

• Support water and infrastructure management: Oversee dewatering operations and contribute to effective drainage and site planning alongside the pump crew.

• Champion environmental stewardship: Monitor rehabilitation progress and ensure compliance with environmental standards and commitments.

• Inspire and grow your team: Coach and mentor operators and frontline leaders to build future capability, foster accountability, and encourage continuous improvement.

• Lead with purpose: Manage crew attendance, performance, and behaviours in line with company expectations.

• Be the critical connection: Act as a key liaison between frontline crews and the Mining Superintendent, translating strategy into action and influencing safety, culture, and delivery.

• Contribute to integrated planning: Collaborate across departments including CHPP, Technical Services, and Maintenance to align execution with broader site objectives.

What You'll Bring to the Role

To be part of our ongoing success, we're looking for individuals who bring both capability and passion. The ideal candidates will bring the following qualifications, experience and attributes to the role:

• Minimum Cert IV in Surface Extraction Operations (or equivalent)

• Current Standard 11, First Aid/CPR, and Coal Board Medical

• Minimum five years of experience in open-cut coal mining, with at least three in a supervisory role

• Strong knowledge of mining equipment, production strategies, and regulatory compliance

• Proven ability to lead crews, manage performance, and deliver operational targets

• Tech savvy with ability to use systems and tools for reporting, planning, and monitoring

• Resilient, inclusive, and strategic thinker with strong communication and leadership skills

• A strong personal drive and a willingness to go the extra mile to contribute to team and company success.
