About the role
An exciting immediate start role with a global industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this  Financial Accountants' position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies' financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for this role to be made permanent / extended.

The responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

  • Performing month-end processes with a focus on ensuring accuracy of all operating expenses and intercompany reconciliations
  • Reporting monthly results and periodic budgets/forecasts to the overseas parent company on the Group reporting system
  • Coordinating and partnering with broader finance team and other departments to deliver monthly results
  • Reviewing and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reporting monthly results for regions on a timely basis each month
  • Assisting with periodic Budgeting and Forecasting processes
  • Quarterly and annual sustainability reporting
  • Ad-hoc projects as and when required
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process and efficiency

The successful applicant will have
 

Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail and have worked in a large complex multinational organisation and/or ASX-Listed business previously.
