Software Developer Role

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Full-Stack Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our SaaS-based analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PHP, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL (with TimescaleDB extension), with a passion for scalable web applications and data-driven solutions. You will work on both front-end and back-end development, collaborating with other developers to deliver high-performance analytics tools to our growing customer base.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features for our SaaS analytics platform.

Build and optimise back-end services using PHP and RESTful APIs.

Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using JavaScript.

Design and manage scalable database solutions with PostgreSQL and the TimescaleDB extension for time-series data.

Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Ensure application security, performance optimisation, and data integrity.

Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.

Integrate third-party services and tools (e.g., authentication, analytics, cloud providers).

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.

Technical Requirements

Required Skills:

Back-End:Proficiency in PHP (3+ years of experience).

Experience with PHP frameworks like Symfony or Slim.

Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.

Front-End:Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+).

Experience with modern JS frameworks/libraries

Knowledge of front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.).Database:

Proficiency in PostgreSQL (3+ years of experience).

Hands-on experience with TimescaleDB for time-series data analytics.

Strong SQL skills, including query optimisation and schema design.

DevOps & Tools:Familiarity with version control (Git).

Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and in agile teams.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)

Experience with analytics platforms, data visualisation tools (e.g., , ).

Knowledge of time-series data processing and optimisation.

Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).

Understanding of DevOps practices (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).

Experience with unit/integration testing
