The Role
We're looking for a Senior PR & Communications Manager who's equal parts strategic thinker, skilled storyteller and results-driven operator, and just an all-around good human.
You'll lead communications activities across our client base, driving outcomes for dedicated comms clients, supporting integrated campaigns, and proactively building new business opportunities and expanding our client portfolio. Our clients span B2B and B2C sectors, from agtech and retail to manufacturing, agriculture and beyond, so versatility, commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management are key.
You'll work closely with our brand and marketing team to ensure all communications strategies align with our clients' business objectives and deliver real, tangible results.

You're a strategic communicator who knows how to craft narratives that connect. You can take complex ideas and turn them into clear, compelling content across channels. You're a relationship builder and a business developer, equally comfortable pitching to new clients as you are managing media outreach or shaping a content strategy.

- Understands how to balance corporate, brand and consumer messaging across multiple audiences and platforms.

- Is comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can confidently juggle multiple projects on the go.

- Is passionate about helping regional and agricultural businesses thrive.
- Is confident working across diverse industry sectors (agtech, retail, manufacturing, agriculture and regional businesses), and understands the nuances of both B2B and B2C communication.

Responsibilities
Communications Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and lead corporate, brand and stakeholder communications strategies across client portfolios.
- Manage key communications clients and act as the primary point of contact.
- Drive new business development, identify, pitch and secure new comms clients.
- Build and expand the agency's comms portfolio, shaping Acre's reputation in the market.
- Develop integrated content strategies that align with the client's business goals.
- Support corporate, brand and marketing campaign planning in collaboration with Brand and Marketing teams.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on corporate communications, brand positioning, stakeholder messaging and public relations.
Media Relations & Public Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts.
- Lead proactive media pitching and manage media opportunities.
- Write and distribute media releases and media materials.
- Manage PR campaigns and earned media outcomes.
- Monitor media coverage and report on results.
Content Development & Storytelling
- Write and edit high-quality content including media releases, website copy, thought leadership, opinion pieces, social content, speeches, client communications, newsletters and more.
- Develop messaging frameworks, tone of voice guides, and content guidelines.
- Ensure consistency and quality of messaging across all channels.
Stakeholder Engagement & Issues Management
- Support clients with corporate communications, internal communications, stakeholder engagement and reputation management.
- Provide issues management support and strategic counsel as needed.
- Manage sensitive communications with discretion and professionalism.
Business Development & Agency Leadership
- Actively contribute to new business development and agency growth.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for new clients and project work.
- Represent Acre Agency at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Contribute to agency thought leadership and positioning in the market.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a strong team culture.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in communications, PR or content marketing, ideally in an agency environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills, able to develop clear, compelling content across formats.
- Proven experience developing and leading communications strategies, including corporate, stakeholder and consumer-facing communications.
- Strong media relations and PR experience, with a track record of securing coverage.
- Experience in business development and growing client portfolios.
- Strategic mindset with a commercial lens, able to align communications with business outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, clients and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and client relationship management.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Experience with regional or agricultural brands is a plus.

Location
This is a full-time role with options for remote work for the right candidate. Remote candidates must have the capacity to travel to Sydney or Tamworth regularly for client meetings and team collaboration.
