ABOUT THE ROLE

As a DFV Support, you will work in the Client Support team providing best practice social responses to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.

  • Welcome clients to their first appointment at Liberty, hold space as they share their story, assess risk, and follow their lead on the next steps/supports
  • Provide holistic safety and case planning to women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
  • Support clients to transition between Liberty's programs, properties and/or staff by completing warm handovers and attending appointments as required
  • Effectively manage your case load and maintain accurate and current records and statistical data
  • Collaborate with other services to strengthen referral pathways and develop innovative, integrated community responses to women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
  • Represent Liberty in community such as attending interagency meetings with stakeholders, including co-location partners, and participating in events as required
ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services or Social Work preferred
  • Experience in risk assessment and safety planning, or wilingness to learn
  • Experience in case management
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Awareness of Response-Based Practice is desirable
  • Awareness of DVNSW's Good Practice Guidelines is desirable
  • Current driver licence
  • Current Working with Children Check
