The Role:

An exciting opportunity is now available for a confident and motivated individual to join our Shopfit team in the position of an Estimator. The focus of this diverse role will be to manage the tendering, commercial and financial budgets and submissions for all projects under your control. You will set-up, oversee and develop the tendering processes, source quality sub-contractors and suppliers and assist in tender selection. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit out and shopfitting projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of works and cost impacts.
• Source and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers across multiple trades and regions. Conduct site visits and attend pre-tender meetings as required
• Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities within project proposals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., design, project management, procurement) to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Maintain and update estimating databases, unit rates, and supplier/subcontractor pricing.
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies without compromising design intent or quality.
• Support handover process from estimating to project delivery teams.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and construction
  
  methodologies

Key Selection Criteria:

• Minimum 2-3 years of estimating experience in fit out, shopfitting, or interior
  
  construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, scopes of work, and relevant
  
  codes/regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to strict deadlines.
• Current Australian drivers licence
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related
  
  field.
