Sefton High School (enrolment 1113 including 96% from non-English-speaking background) is a co-educational, academically selective school with a parallel community stream intake. The school is characterised by a focus of high expectations of all students and staff. Quality, evidence-based teaching and learning in a highly structured learning environment permeates the school which is recognised and valued by the community. This results in students demonstrating excellent standards of attendance, academic achievement, conduct and personal growth. Selection CriteriaApproval to teach careers or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in the Careers Adviser qualifications approved by the New South Wales Department of Education
Demonstrated ability to inform, support and engage a diverse range of students in careers and transition pathways tailored to their future success.
Demonstrated ability collaboratively develop, support, and contribute to strategic excellence initiatives including transition and post school options.
Well-developed interpersonal and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents and agencies
ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
