The Opportunity

Are you a commercial leader who views finance as a driver of growth, not just a reporting function? Do you thrive on building, shaping, and taking complete ownership in a dynamic, international environment?

We are representing a dynamic, privately-owned international business with a significant operational footprint. They are seeking an entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their core leadership team in Milton, QLD. 

This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on leader to step beyond the traditional CFO mould. You will be a strategic architect, empowered to shape the financial destiny of the company, build a legacy, and partner directly with the owner to drive growth.

What You Will Drive

  • You will take complete ownership of the entire finance function, leading a team large team of professionals.
  • You will serve as a true strategic partner to the leadership team, proactively identifying issues and driving solutions independently.
  • You will lead the financial strategy for business growth, including hands-on involvement in M&A activities from due diligence through to successful integration.
  • As a hands-on leader, you will mentor a large, geographically dispersed finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and leading by example from the front.
  • You will design and implement scalable financial systems and processes that will support the company's ambitious international expansion and pivot as required by the business.

About You

  • You have a proven track record of scaling a business, ideally taking an organisation from a smaller to a larger, more complex scale.
  • You are a commercially astute and creative leader with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on experience in Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • You are a hands-on leader, as comfortable diving into the operational details as you are setting high-level strategy.
  • You are an autonomous, proactive problem-solver who thrives on accountability and takes ownership to get the job done.
  • You hold significant senior leadership experience; a formal finance degree is less important than your demonstrated commercial achievements and entrepreneurial track record.
  • You are willing and able to travel internationally (approximately one week a month, for ten months of the year).
