Role & Responsibilites

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Swan Transit, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining our fleet of buses to the highest safety and operational standards.
• Ensuring the delivery of clean, safe, and comfortable transport for the community.
• Conducting thorough safety inspections and compliance checks.
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues.
• Performing preventative maintenance to meet roadworthy standards.
• Collaborating with a skilled team to maintain service efficiency.

Desirable but not essential:

• Previous experience working with buses.

We welcome qualified mechanics with a strong work ethic, technical proficiency, and a commitment to excellence.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A recognised Australian mechanical trade qualification with demonstrated hands-on experience.
• A minimum of a Medium Rigid (MR) class driver's licence or higher.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and a collaborative, proactive approach to work.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• The ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including a medical assessment and National Police Clearance.
