Trainer/Facilitator – Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance

Health Science Hub (RTO is looking for a new team member who is interested in working in the Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector.

Essential Requirements: We can only consider applicants with:

  • An undergraduate degree in Allied Health (example: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, etc.)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in healthcare.

About the Role: You may be a professional who's looking for a change of scenery or a new challenge. This role involves teaching classes of high school students (16 to 18-year-olds), so the right candidate must be genuinely interested in and capable of working effectively with this age group. The qualification you will be delivering is HLT33021 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance. We have additional classes running, so we are looking for trainers available on Thursdays and/or Fridays during school terms 1, 2 & 3.

Qualifications: It would be advantageous for applicants to already hold their Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE However, we are willing to support the right person to attain this qualification over time. On-the-job training and co-facilitation are provided for all new staff members.

What We're Looking For: The right candidate will have the following abilities:

  • Be comfortable presenting in front of students and display the confidence to explain and deliver the required content clearly and engagingly
  • Be genuinely interested in and capable of working with 16 to 18-year-old students
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and autonomously
  • Communicate professionally through online group chats and digital platforms
  • Manage change positively and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn new skills
  • Be capable and confident using technology in the classroom, including:
  • Learning Management System (LMS) – Axelerate
  • eLearning platforms and online assessment tools
  • Tablets, laptops, and AV display devices
  • Various educational apps

Content Delivery: The position requires you to be capable and confident in using your experience, skills, and education to deliver modules of training, including:

  • Medical Terminology
  • Infection Control
  • Academic Communication (including referencing)
  • Anatomy and Body Systems
  • Human Movement

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 14 per week
