Details: We are looking for people with the highest level of personal integrity to join the ACT Audit Office's Performance Audit Team. You will have a keen interest in public administration, the ability to objectively analyse issues, evaluate evidence and prepare high-quality reports.
We value a diverse range of qualifications, backgrounds and experiences. We provide on-the-job training to equip you to apply your research, investigation and communication skills to performance audit.
The Audit Office fosters accountability in the public administration of the Territory and promotes efficiency and effectiveness of ACT public services. You will play an important role in ensuring the highest levels of accountability and transparency within the ACT Government. Your work will have a direct impact on delivery of critical services for the ACT community.
The role
The ACT Audit Office is seeking Senior Directors (multiple positions) with an annual salary of between $146,882 and $169,551 plus superannuation.
The benefits
The Audit Office supports flexible working and a healthy work-life balance. Flexible, hybrid work is planned with an emphasis on accommodating family and personal commitments.
You will be supported in your professional development by completing interesting work and training. The Audit Office also has a studies assistance program, which allows for reimbursement of course fees and time off to study and attend exams.
You will be offered an annual salary based on your experience and skills within the Band 4 (for Senior Director) from our enterprise agreement. Additional benefits include leave provisions and payment of professional membership fees.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- You do not need prior experience in performance audit. The key to success in this role will be your personal drive and integrity and ability to objectively analyse issues, evaluate evidence and write high-quality reports. You will also align strongly to, and actively demonstrate, our organisational values of Independence, Integrity, Professionalism, Respect and Learning and Innovation.
- You will most likely have tertiary qualifications and you will be fluent in English.
- All employees are required to undergo employment screening. This position is a Position of Trust 1 and therefore, if you are selected for this position, you will be required to gain and maintain a Baseline National Security Clearance or be assessed as suitable to obtain this clearance. If this clearance is not successful, your employment in the role will not commence or, if already commenced, will be terminated.
Notes: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months.
How to Apply: Please provide a resume and a written response to the Selection Criteria provided in the Position Description (no more than two pages). Please explain how your experience, knowledge and skills align with the Selection Criteria and will equip you to carry out the responsibilities of the role.
