The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Communications Partner (Drought) to be part of our Industry, Strategy and Partnerships Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Communications Partner (Drought) is part of the Communication Branch, reporting to the Communications Lead – Drought Response. This team operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to deliver best-practice and innovative communication and digital services for the Department of Primary Industries and Regions. This role is focused on delivering high-level communications with a focus on activities being delivered under the State Government's $73 million Drought Support Package.
This role is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and coordination of effective strategies and activities requiring effective engagement with diverse stakeholders, exceptional verbal and written communication skills and creative flair to ensure engaging communications reach intended audiences.
As a skilled, experienced professional, the Communications Partner (Drought) identifies communications requirements in collaboration with the drought response project team and utilises the skills of the broader Communications Branch to effect desired outcomes.

Special Conditions
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

- Full Time Opportunity, 37.5 hours per week
Requirements
- Developing and implementing plans and priorities and continuous improvement strategies,
- Working with PIRSA media team to plan and develop media opportunities that align with milestones and objectives identified in communication plans
- Assisting to deliver communications plans, content, collateral and associated activities.
- Liaising with PIRSA Digital Services team on digital enhancements to the PIRSA website and supporting pillars, including creation of new digital content that is engaging and meets user needs
- Evaluation measurements incorporated into communication and campaign planning and delivery, with analytics used to inform future content and strategies
Remuneration
ASO5 - $85,790 min - $95,413 max per annum, plus superannuation
