**The Opportunity**
We have an opportunity for a Program Manager Future Drought Fund Programs to be part of our Major Programs and Regions Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Program Manager, Future Drought Fund Programs, plays a strategic leadership role within the Emergency Management, Drought and Resilience Team, contributing to the development and implementation of a range of policies, agreements and programs to support primary producers and communities in recovery from and build resilience to adverse events.
The primary purpose of the role is to lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Future Drought Fund Programs, delivered by PIRSA, currently being the Farm Business Resilience and the Regional Drought Resilience Planning Programs. These programs are jointly funded by the Commonwealth’s Future Drought Fund and the Government of South Australia. The Farm Business Resilience Program assists farmers in building knowledge and skills in strategic farm business management and planning, farm risk management and decision making, natural resource management, and personal and social resilience.
The Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program supports partnerships of local government, regional development, natural resources organisations and other regional stakeholders to develop regional drought resilience plans and provides funding to implement actions identified to assist communities prepare for and manage future drought and climate risks.
The role is key to initiating, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, and regional communities to ensure the programs are responsive, collaborative, and impactful. Through effective leadership and coordination, the Program Manager ensures PIRSA’s Future Drought Fund Programs contribute meaningfully to long term resilience and sustainability in the face of climate variability and drought.

- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- Opportunity up to December 2029.
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
**Requirements**:
- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
**Remuneration**
ASO7 - $108,109 min - $116,864 max per annum, plus superannuation
