Top Country is an automated livestock feed mill in the thriving town of Roma, in Queensland. The mill produces fully customisable dry licks and grain rations for cattle, horses, sheep, goats and pigs. We are a company that prides ourselves on producing exceptionally high-quality products for the discerning livestock producer who wants to achieve real results with feed.

This is a full time role based in Roma, Q.

Candidates must have valid Australian work rights or acceptable work visa to be eligible for this position.

  • Strong Team: Top Country has a motivated, highly skilled team including a number of full-time animal nutritionists that work closely together to deliver exceptional high level animal nutrition advice to livestock producers across Queensland.

What you will be doing:

  • The nutritional team at Top Country are the face of the organisation, providing animal nutrition advice to our customers, visiting properties to gauge nutrition needs and undertaking pasture and water testing. The effectiveness of this team drives the success of the business and the amount of product that the mill produces.
  • A full driver's licence is required for conducting property visits and field assessments.
  • You'll communicate with producers in person, on the phone, by email and at events.
  • You'll advise producers of the Top Country product range and the most suitable product for required purposes and customise products as required.
  • You'll be fully conversant in the effective use of dry lick and grain rations in the paddock.
  • You'll arrange the manufacture of these products and take responsibility for the nutritional effectiveness of the product and the final inspections prior to dispatch.
  • You'll follow up with customers to ensure the product is delivering the required results and to continue to develop programs that utilise a range of Top Country products.

What you'll have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, Food Science, or a closely related field
  • Strong passion for animal nutrition and health, with a genuine commitment to making a difference
  • Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable navigating computer applications
