Join the team
We're looking for a Risk & Resilience Specialist to join our team — someone who thrives on complexity, thinks ahead, and can turn insight into action. In this role, you'll help shape the way we identify, manage, and respond to key risks across Kmart Group, with a strong focus on technology, cyber, and operational resilience.
Behind the scenes, our Risk & Resilience team plays a critical role in supporting that mission by ensuring our business stays strong, secure, and ready for anything.
What you'll be doing
As a Risk & Resilience Specialist working for Kmart Group you will:
- Supporting group-wide risk and resilience programs to embed an effective risk culture across Kmart Group.
- Leading risk reviews and facilitating workshops to identify and manage business, cyber, and technology risks.
- Designing and implementing risk frameworks, controls, and assurance processes that enable confident decision-making.
- Supporting the ongoing maturity of our crisis and business continuity programs — ensuring our teams are trained, tested, and ready to respond.
- Partnering with leaders across the business to integrate risk management into strategic and operational decisions.
- Facilitate and lead the Major Incident Teams through resolving, investigating and responding to significant events.
- Providing meaningful insights and reports to the Executive Team and Audit & Risk Committee.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- 5–7 years' experience in risk, resilience, or technology/cyber risk roles within large and complex organisations.
- A degree in a relevant field (Qualifications such as CISM/CISA are an advantage).
- Strong understanding of risk management standards.
- Proven ability to design and implement risk and resilience frameworks in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills — able to translate complex risks into practical, actionable insights.
- Curiosity, commercial thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Benefits we'll offer you:
- Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy.
- A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart, Target, Officeworks and Bunnings
- Access to the Kmart for You benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health – with over 60 suppliers
- We want you to feel rewarded for your commitment and hard work that's why eligible team members get the opportunity to participate in a bonus program
- We offer inclusive parental leave, and ongoing support offered though our partnership with Circle In for team members of all backgrounds and family circumstances
- A dynamic learning and support program
- Opportunity to fast track your career through our Mentor Program as a Mentee or Mentor
- A Kudos recognition program, where you are nominated by your peers to spin a wheel, to win a stack of cool prizes
- Great career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers Group
