Production and Sourcing Manager

About the role

Part of the Retail Apparel Group (RAG), Tarocash is one of Australia's leading men's fashion retailers, we are aiming to deliver to our customer occasion focused on-trend products. We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as Production and Sourcing Manager. This role is a fulltime permanent position where you will work closely with the Head of Sourcing and Production & the Product team to deliver products from conception to store. We are looking for a dynamic person who is proactive, versatile and passionate about quality apparel and collaborating with a fast-paced product team. Great Sydney location, close to public transport links. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Live and breathe the RAG cultural statements and core values.
  2. Drive all aspects of the production and sourcing processes across multiple categories to assist the
    Head of Sourcing & Production.
  3. Proactively support the product developer on pre-development, cost negotiations, order raising, tech packs and vendor management from concept to GRN.
  4. Closely Manage product critical path and resolve issues with a "can do" attitude, looking for opportunities for improvements.
  5. Seasonal reporting on vendor capabilities and ongoing capacity.
  6. Build mutually beneficial strong relationships with overseas suppliers across different regions.
  7. Implement Brand sourcing and vendor diversification strategy in collaboration with
    Head of Sourcing & Production.
  8. Work collaboratively with our internal and external support teams for win-win solutions.
  9. Liaise with Group functions and other brand production teams on production, compliance and sustainability in line with group strategy
  10. Manage the flow of samples where required across development/salesman/fit approvals (PP & shipping), photo shoot samples and e-comm.

Skills and Experience

Our ideal candidate is an experienced dynamic person who has come from a retail environment and has demonstrated experience as a production and sourcing manager, or a production coordinator with 5+ years' experience & keen on taking their career to the next level.

In addition, you will have,

  1. The ability to manage timelines and proactively offer solutions to ensure on time deliveries.
  2. A good team player with
    Strong collaborative skills with ability to move with change.
  3. Intermediate to Advanced in MS Excel skills and production systems. 3 clicks and AP21 a bonus.
  4. Good technical knowledge on fabric and garment construction.
  5. Strong attention to detail and quality.
  6. Experience across multiple manufacturing countries.
  7. Proven ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritizing deadlines.
  8. Excellent communication skills coupled with accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  9. Driven and enthusiastic.
