About the opportunity

The Junior Vessel Planner is a junior role located at Patrick's National Operations Centre (NOC) in Melbourne's CBD. Reporting to the NOC Manager, this role is a great opportunity for someone seeking exposure to the vessel, planning and scheduling function in the Maritime industry and a great opportunity for long term career development.

This Junior Vessel Planner role is a fantastic entry point into the Maritime industry, and the successful applicant will be trained in and responsible for a range of tasks within the National Operations Centre function, including:

  • Support the Berth Schedule process
  • Assist in the planning of vessels
  • Collaborate with the Terminals, National Scheduling Manager, Client Services Managers, and other various internal stakeholders to effectively manage schedules
  • Provide excellent customer service to Patrick's clients

About Your Experience and Skills

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Management, Logistics or similar (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced systems and computer skills.
  • Strong customer focus, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical thinking skills.
