The Role:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery and installation of both commercial and residential buildings. This includes constructing buildings at Prebuilt's facility, preparing sites, planning installations, and managing teams to ensure projects are completed to the expected quality standards in a timely, safe, and cost-efficient manner.

  • Manage projects from design through to construction completion and handover, ensuring all deadlines, budgets, and quality, safety, and environmental standards are met.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scopes, refine budgets, secure approvals, and align on objectives.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain construction schedules, monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to timelines. Proficient in using Microsoft Project for scheduling and tracking.
  • Oversee and control project finances, including providing accurate financial performance reporting and forecasting, completing monthly cost reports, and participating in reviews with leadership.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to project teams, including Contract Administrators, Supervisors, and other project staff.
  • Manage procurement activities by identifying project needs, negotiating terms, and awarding all subcontracts.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with subcontractors, managing them effectively to foster long-term collaboration.
  • Interpret and apply building plans, regulations, and codes of practice to guide work progress and ensure compliance with construction documents and specifications.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, ensuring all aspects of the project align with regulatory and client specifications while driving successful outcomes.

You will need to possess the following experience & skills:

  • A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience in construction-related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in delivering conventional structures and commercial projects valued between $1M–$15M, with design & construct experience being highly regarded.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles, building codes, and construction methodologies.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including the MS Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and familiarity with Procore Project Management is an advantage.
