Are you passionate about supporting families and making a positive difference? We're looking for a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our Maryborough team and play a key role in ensuring our customers are supported.

About the Role

As a Family Support Worker, you will provide high quality case management and support services to families and individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This role is vital in helping clients navigate housing systems, access resources and build pathways to stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and prioritise cases ensuring appropriate referral pathways
  • Prepare progress care and support plans for tenants and clients
  • Conduct home visits and provide advocacy, information and referrals
  • Respond to public inquiries via phone and front desk, including reception coverage Maintain accurate applicant interview and allocation records
  • Advocate for clients accessing Family Accommodation Services
  • Develop and implement initial support plans for homes individuals

About You

You are passionate about supporting vulnerable families and individual. You bring empathy, professionalism and strong organisational skills to your work.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in case management and/or provision of support services
  • Qualifications and/or experience in a human services framework for people presenting as homeless
  • Knowledge and understanding of the community and public housing sectors and services available to assist clients
  • Client focused approach with respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to work with diverse communities
  • Strong advocacy and communication skills
  • Competent in technology and record keeping
  • Team oriented with integrity and autonomy
  • Current Driver's Licence

Please note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
