Technical Manager - Aerodrome, AGL

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Promote Downer's Zero Harm practices and ensure all aerodrome operations comply with WHS, environmental standards, CASA/DASA regulations, and Defence service delivery requirements.

• Lead the development, configuration, and governance of aerodrome operations (AO) systems and tools, while maintaining specialist Service Delivery Plans and subplans.

• Monitor contract KPIs, ensure data accuracy and synchronisation, and provide analytical support and technical input for internal and client-facing performance reports.

• Build a collaborative team culture focused on quality and innovation, develop technical capability within the team, and coordinate AO requirements with PAS Managers.

• Manage technical relationships with Defence Directorates, support subcontractor selection, and ensure all work aligns with CASA/DASA standards and PAS expectations.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 5 years' experience in CASA/DASA-related roles, with strong aeronautical technical expertise, maintenance planning certification, and compliance assurance skill

• Skilled in CMMS configuration, maintenance planning, and performance data analysis, with proficiency in computer-based systems for scheduling and reporting.

• Must be eligible to obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance and access, with prior experience using Defence estate systems and performance frameworks.

  or Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, CASA/DASA endorsements (QLD & NSW), and Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certification.

• Demonstrated strengths in team leadership, stakeholder engagement, contract governance, systems thinking, and performance analysis.
