About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Seafood Production Worker to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Mount Barker, South Australia. As a Seafood Production Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency in our seafood processing operations.


What You'll Be Doing
  • Working efficiently on a production line, ensuring smooth flow of products through each stage of processing and packing.
  • Carefully handling and processing fresh seafood products according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Operating production equipment and machinery to portion, package, and prepare seafood items for distribution.
  • Adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and biosecurity protocols to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with the wider production team to meet daily and weekly production targets, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Conducting cleaning tasks to maintain an organised and hygienic work environment.
  • Adhering to safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Manual handling and heavy lifting required.
  • Available to work extra hours as and when required (Christmas and Easter).

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment, preferably within the seafood industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterity for manual tasks, and stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
  • A commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
  • Good communication skills, willingness to learn, and follow instructions.
  • Committed to being punctual, hardworking, and reliable.
  • Ability to work in a cold and wet environment.
  • Flexibility to work across connected departments.
  • Experience working with knives desirable.
