Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Plant Mechanic to join their national workshop team based in Eastern Creek

This is a hands-on role focused on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy vehicles and plant equipment, including Volvo trucks and CAT machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and minimising downtime across the fleet.

Your new role

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out component replacements
  • Complete welding and fabrication tasks as required
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with WHS standards

What you'll need to succeed

  • Trade-qualified Plant Mechanic
  • Experience with heavy vehicles and plant equipment (CAT, Volvo preferred)
  • Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Oxy) desirable
  • HR or HC licence advantageous
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive base rate of $48-$50/hr, depending on experience

  • Additional earnings of $12,000+ annually through attendance and production bonuses

  • Total potential earnings of $54-$56/hr

  • Annual pay increases under the current agreement
