About Us:

Quantum-Systems is at the forefront of autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics globally. Our Australian subsidiary, Quantum-Systems Australia, operates in the Defence, Security, and Commercial markets, specialising in Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAS) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Summary:

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining Windows Software for Ground Control Applications to operate advanced unmanned systems. The role will contribute to user-friendly interfaces to enable real-time control and monitoring of robotic swarms and sensor systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimise frontend applications for controlling and visualising robotic swarms and sensor data.
• Maintenance and improvement of deployed mission control software.
• Build intuitive, performant, and responsive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks such as C#.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability through clean coding practices and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and optimize frontend performance for real-time applications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production and field operations teams.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, facilitating transparent and effective communication across the organisation.
• Establish and improve workflows across international engineering team.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

• Tertiary degree in Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4-5 years' experience as a Software Engineer ideally within the UAS, Robotic or aerospace sector.
• Australian Citizenship and ability to hold a Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET (WPF/WinForms).
• Familiarity with UI frameworks like WPF or Windows Forms, including XAML for designing user interfaces.
• Basic understanding of Model-View-View-Model (MVVM) architecture, which is commonly used in WPF applications.
• Ability to bind UI components to backend logic using data binding.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Desired

• Awareness of communication protocols like MAVLink, Flatbuffer or similar.
• Experience with debugging tools, GIT version control systems, JIRA and XRAY unit testing.
• Basic understanding of handling real-time data and UI responsiveness, especially when working with telemetry or drone data streams.
