Priding ourselves on being one of Sydney's most popular artisan bakeries, offering a fresh seasonal menu featuring European and Mediterranean influenced dishes, The Trustee For Reg Randwick Unit Trust t/as Bake Bar have locations across Sydney, and we are actively recruiting for all locations. We currently seek a full-time (38hr/wk) Baker.

Responsibilities and tasks:

· Inspect equipment and premises for cleanliness and OH&S compliance before production.

· Check quality of raw ingredients, weigh and measure accurately, minimise waste, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper storage and labelling per food safety standards.

· Demonstrate expertise in a range of artisan breads (sourdough, brioche, rye, yeasted varieties). Mix, knead, mould, and shape doughs to ensure consistent quality and craftsmanship.

· Coordinate forming, loading, baking, unloading, and cooling of bread products. Set and monitor oven temperatures and proofing times, adjusting as needed to achieve consistent results.

· Clean and maintain all baking equipment, report faults promptly, and uphold hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations.

· Ensure batch quantities meet both retail and wholesale order requirements while maintaining quality.

· Provide training, guidance, and oversight to junior staff on artisan bread production and baking techniques.

Required skills and attributes:

  • A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of relevant experience as a Baker, or AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience as a Baker in lieu of qualifications
  • At least one year of relevant experience in addition to relevant qualifications
  • Experience working in a busy establishment with a high volume
  • Highly organised and an ability to multi-task
  • Well developed communication skills and fluent in English

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation
