Synchro Partners is partnering with a leading enterprise embarking on a major Workday transformation program to modernise HR and payroll processes, driving greater efficiency, integration, and user experience across the organisation.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural direction and delivery of the Workday platform, with a strong focus on Workday HCM and Payroll.

This role offers the opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on design and delivery in a complex, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the overall Workday solution architecture across HCM and Payroll.
  • Lead design sessions to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
  • Collaborate across HR, Finance, and IT to deliver integrated, scalable, and compliant Workday solutions.
  • Oversee Workday Payroll configuration and integrations, ensuring accurate data flow across systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to project and implementation teams.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and optimisation opportunities within the Workday ecosystem.
  • Ensure all architectural designs adhere to governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical or architectural challenges.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Senior Workday Architect in large, complex environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday HCM and Payroll modules, including configuration, integration, and optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes.
  • Experience working with Workday integrations, middleware, and third-party systems.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within structured transformation or change programs.
